According to report of World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS), the global nickel supply was in a surplus of 58,300 tons in the first five months this year, in comparison of 42,200 tons in the same period of a year ago.
In the given period of time, global nickel mine output totaled 840,050 tons, rising by 10% year on year, according to WBMS.
Besides, the global apparent demand for nickel was at 729,600 tons in January-May.
